Cruise online travel agent Dreamlines expands US operations

After establishing operations in the US in October 2017, Dreamlines quickly outgrew its original offices and recently moved into a new facility in Fort Lauderdale to accommodate more travel experts.

‘We’re excited about the very promising market entry in the last months and are looking forward to further developing our presence in the US to become a major cruise distribution player,’ says Steven Hattem, md of Dreamlines USA.

Independent cruise port operator Global Ports Holding recently took a stake in Dreamlines for €13m whilst at the same time.the online travel agent raised €45m in series E funding led by Princeville Global.

Dreamlines plans to significantly invest in its US operations and target the growing US cruise market.

Dreamlines offers 20,000 cruise products from 30 lines

The company offers more than 20,000 cruise products of 30 cruise lines online and also connects customers via phone and e-mail with dedicated cruise experts.

Dreamlines, founded in 2012 has over 600 employees and is the largest online provider of cruises in Europe.

Expected booking volume of €400m

Dreamlines group’s expected booking volume in 2018 is forecast at €400m with operations in Germany (headquarters), the UK, US, Australia, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Russia, Brazil and Singapore.

Dreamlines recently acquired Cruise1st and entered the UK market. ‘We are very satisfied with the successful start of the US business and are looking forward to exploring all opportunities in North America’, says Felix Schneider, ceo of the Dreamlines group.
