Ross Ahlgren – General Partner
Ross is a founding partner of Kreos and has been heavily involved with the development of Kreos’ newer markets. He focuses on technology financing in the UK and continental Europe. Ross has significant experience in operational/marketing roles in large organisations as well as building intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial ventures. Prior to Kreos, his most recent position was Vice President of Operations for American International Group's (AIG) continental European operations focusing on developing marketing strategies for 14 countries, building small country operations and coordinating the acquisitions and management of alternative distribution channels. Ross holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Business from the University of Texas.

Maurizio PetitBon – General Partner
Maurizio is a founding partner of Kreos and has a particular focus on continental Europe as well as Life Science financings. Maurizio has more than 20 years of experience in technology-based businesses. Prior to Kreos, he was Managing Partner of PMA Europe, a consultancy firm which assisted venture capital firms and corporate clients in evaluating investment opportunities in technology companies. Maurizio has also been principal consultant at the European head office of Stanford Reasearch Institute, one of the world’s largest technology research and consulting organisations. His career in industry encompasses managerial posts at Xerox, DEC and Emerson Electric. Maurizio holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Rome.

Raoul Stein – General Partner
Raoul is a founding partner of Kreos and runs its operations in Israel, focusing on network development and new company assessment across Israel, as well as on supporting new transactions in Europe. Raoul has significant experience in advising and investing in high-growth entrepreneurial companies. Prior to Kreos, Raoul spent two years with Apax Partners Israel, one of the leading venture capital firms in the country, investing in information technology, telecommunication and services companies. Raoul was also an associate with Friedman Turbidy & Co., a New York-based investment advisory firm. Raoul holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a law degree from Bar-Ilan University.

Mårten Vading – General Partner
Mårten is a founding partner of Kreos and is responsible for its activities across the Nordic region as well as initiating and supporting new transactions in Europe. Mårten has several years of experience from the financial and venture capital industries. Prior to Kreos, Mårten worked with seed investments at board level in Swedish high-technology, start-up companies. Mårten also served as a director at UBS Warburg (UBS investment banking arm), heading Nordic IT and Telecom equity research. Before that Mårten was a management consultant with Ernst & Young. Mårten holds an M.Sc. from the Stockholm School of Economics and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a major in finance.

Luca Colciago – Partner
Luca joined Kreos as a Partner in August 2007 and is focusing on ICT financing in the UK and continental Europe. Luca has several years of experience in finance and venture debt. Prior to joining Kreos he was a Director at Noble Venture Finance, where he led numerous venture debt transactions mainly in continental Europe. Luca has also been an Associate Director with GATX Capital in San Francisco and London, and was part of a team that set up a fund management company in Switzerland. Luca holds an MBA from HEC Paris and a degree in Economics from Universita' Bocconi in Milan.

Simon Hirtzel – Chief Operating Officer
Simon is Chief Operating Officer of Kreos and has responsibility for its international operations and for the execution of its growth plans, which include the expansion of the current platform of innovative financing products. Simon joined Kreos from PA Consulting Group, a USD750 million global management and technology consultancy, where as Group CFO he played a central part in the international growth and success of its corporate technology ventures programme and in the management of its global consulting operations. Prior to PA Consulting Group, Simon worked with Arthur Andersen for five years in London and Frankfurt, specialising in international financing structures. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and holds an MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.

Malcolm Williams – Advisory Committee
Malcolm, who spent his professional career from 1966 to 2004 at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (“DrKW”), has been with Kreos from its inception. Malcolm has held senior management posts at DrKW in Europe and in Asia. His last position, before joining Kreos, was Chief Operating Officer for Allianz Dresdner Private Equity Group, which managed over €4 billion of direct and fund investments.

Geoffrey Woolley – Advisory Committee
Geoffrey has been with Kreos from its inception. Before Kreos, Geoffrey founded Dominion Ventures Inc. in 1982 and the concept of venture leasing and lending in the United States. With 20 years of experience in the venture capital business, he has been involved in financing over 300 growth companies. Geoffrey continues to sit on the board of various entrepreneurial companies and is the Chairman of University Venture Fund, a non-profit venture fund run by students and based at the University of Utah, as well as MACC Private Equity (USA, Nasdaq) and sits on the Board of Unitus, a non-profit microfinance organization. Geoffrey also holds an MBA from the University of Utah and a BA from Brigham Young University.

Kelly Wilcock – Portfolio Coordinator
Kelly joined Kreos along with the founders in 1999. As Portfolio Coordinator, she has played a central role in concluding more than 150 transactions since then. Kelly manages the operations of the Portfolio team and works with clients on lease and loan transactions to ensure that all of Kreos’s transactions run efficiently for our portfolio companies, from the first drawdown through day-to-day management to the final stages of funding. Kelly plays a central part in Kreos’s investor relations and reporting.

Donatella Callegaris – Portfolio Executive
Donatella joined Kreos at the inception of the Kreos II fund in 2005. She manages Kreos’s relationships with its clients and is responsible for portfolio deals through the life of each transaction. A native Italian, Donatella has lived in the UK since 1999. She has a background in trust management. Donatella holds a BA (Hons) in Management from the University of London and speaks fluent Italian and English.

Ruta Malinauskaite – Portfolio Executive
Ruta joined Kreos Capital in 2006. She manages Kreos’s relationships with its clients and is responsible for portfolio deals through the life of each transaction. Ruta began her career in the venture debt industry in 1996 as a Credit Administrator for the Baltic-American Enterprise Fund. Ruta has an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Copenhagen Business School and speaks four languages: Russian, Lithuanian, English and Danish.

Steven Palmer – Finance Manager
Steven joined Kreos in 2005, taking responsibility for the financial operations of the portfolios. He is an ACCA qualified accountant with 21 years’ experience in various finance houses, predominantly in the traditional leasing area.

Adele Du Toit – Financial Accountant
Adele is an ACCA qualified Financial Accountant and joined the Kreos team in February 2008 on a temporary basis. She is responsible for all the cash management and operations of the business and has over nine years of experience within the Financial Services sector.

April Allen – Office Manager
April joined Kreos Capital in February 2008. She recently graduated from King’s College London with a BA in War Studies and provides administrative support to the finance and portfolio teams. April is also responsible for the day to day running of the London office.
